We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application.
By using AI HabitMind, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

- Habit Entries: Daily completion status, completion times, values (for numeric goals), mood ratings, and personal notes
- Mood Tracking Data: Mood ratings on a 5-point scale recorded when tracking emotional states
- Account Preferences: Notification settings, reminder times, language preferences, and app configuration choices
- Subscription Status: Information about your subscription tier (Free, Smart, or Pro)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically (Locally)
- Device Information: iOS version for compatibility purposes only (stored locally, not transmitted)
- Analytics: Usage statistics stored entirely on-device (habit completion rates, streak calculations)
- HealthKit Data: If you grant permission, we collect:
- Workout data (type, duration, calories burned)
- Meditation duration and sessions
- Step count
- Calories burned
- Sleep data
- Water intake
- CloudKit Sync Data: When iCloud sync is enabled, metadata about your habits for synchronization
2.3 Purchase Information
- Subscription Status: Whether you have an active Smart ($4.99/month) or Pro ($19.99/year) subscription
- Transaction Data: Handled entirely by Apple's App Store - we only receive subscription status, not payment details
⚠️ Important: We do NOT have servers. We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your personal data outside your device. All data processing happens on your device using Apple's privacy-first frameworks.
3. How We Use Your Information
All data processing happens locally on your device. We use your information to:
- Track your habit completion and calculate streaks locally
- Calculate success rates and statistics for your personal dashboard
- Perform AI analysis to detect patterns in your habit data (all on-device)
- Generate personalized insights and recommendations based on your patterns
- Detect correlations between mood ratings and habit success rates
- Process HealthKit data to integrate with your health metrics (if enabled)
- Schedule local notifications at times you specify
- Sync your habit data across your devices via iCloud CloudKit (if enabled)
- Verify your subscription status for premium features
- Provide app functionality and personalized features
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Local Storage
- All habit data is stored locally on your device in the app's secure sandbox
- Data is protected by iOS security features including encryption at rest
- Face ID and Touch ID can provide additional app-level security if you enable them
- Only the AI HabitMind app can access its data - no other apps can read it
- Data cannot be accessed unless you unlock your device using Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode
4.2 HealthKit Storage
- HealthKit data is stored in the protected HealthKit database on your device
- iOS encrypts HealthKit data and requires biometric authentication to access
- Only AI HabitMind can access HealthKit data - the system never exports it outside HealthKit unless you request it
- You can revoke access at any time: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices
4.3 iCloud CloudKit Sync (Optional)
- If you enable iCloud sync, uses Apple's CloudKit with end-to-end encryption
- Data syncs only between devices logged into the SAME Apple ID
- Apple cannot decrypt your synced data (end-to-end encryption)
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings
- When disabled, no future syncs occur, but past data remains in your iCloud account per Apple's policies
4.4 Data Backup
- Your habit data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or computer backup)
- Backup encryption depends on your iOS backup settings
- Data in backups receives the same protection as your device data
5. Third-Party Services
AI HabitMind uses only Apple's built-in iOS services. We do NOT use external analytics, advertising platforms, or tracking services:
- HealthKit: Apple's health data framework for secure health data management. Data stored locally and never shared with us or third parties.
- CloudKit/iCloud: Apple's cloud synchronization service (optional). Encrypted end-to-end, accessible only to you.
- StoreKit 2: Apple's framework for managing subscriptions. Payment processing handled by Apple, we receive only subscription status.
- UserNotifications: Apple's local notification framework. Notifications scheduled on your device, never from our servers.
- WidgetKit: Apple's widget framework for home screen widgets. Data stays on-device.
- Apple Watch Support: WatchKit for Apple Watch synchronization via Watch Connectivity.
NO external services: We do NOT use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, advertising networks, or any other third-party tracking services.
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT share your personal information with third parties under any circumstances, except:
- iCloud Sync: Between your own devices when you enable CloudKit sync (encrypted, only to your Apple ID)
- Legal Requirement: If required by law or valid legal process (though we have no access to your local data to provide)
- Your Explicit Consent: If you choose to export your data, it's shared according to your action only
7. Your Rights & Control
You have complete control over your data at all times:
Access & Portability
- View all data: See all your habits, entries, and statistics within the app
- Export data: Export all your habit data in standard formats for use elsewhere
- Data portability: Retrieve your information in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format
Modification & Deletion
- Edit: Modify any habit, entry, or setting at any time
- Delete individual entries: Remove specific habit completion records
- Delete habits: Remove entire habits and all their associated data
- Delete all data: Permanently remove all data by deleting the app
Permission Control
- Restrict HealthKit: Disable health data access: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → AI HabitMind
- Disable CloudKit sync: Turn off iCloud sync in app settings
- Restrict notifications: Settings → Notifications → AI HabitMind
- Withdraw consent: Revoke any permission through iOS Settings at any time
Right to Be Forgotten
- Delete your account and all associated data immediately
- All local data is permanently removed when you delete the app
- CloudKit data is removed per Apple's iCloud retention policies after app deletion
8. Data Retention
- Habit Data: Stored indefinitely on your device until you delete it
- Habit Entries: Stored indefinitely until you delete individual entries or the app
- Deleted Entries: Immediately removed from your device
- Deleted App: All local data is immediately removed when you delete the app
- CloudKit Data: Removed based on Apple's iCloud retention policies after app deletion
- Device Backups: Data may persist in backups until you create a new backup or clear backups
- HealthKit Data: Remains in HealthKit only - not stored elsewhere by us
9. Children's Privacy
AI HabitMind is not directed at children under 13 years of age.
- We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- The app is designed for ages 13+ for self-improvement and habit building
- If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information, contact us immediately
- Parents may guide children 13+ to use the app for healthy habit formation
10. International Data Transfers
AI HabitMind stores all data locally on your device. No international data transfers occur through our app.
- If you use CloudKit/iCloud sync, Apple handles data transfers according to their privacy policy
- Data may be transferred internationally through Apple's infrastructure per their terms
- All transfers are encrypted end-to-end (you alone can decrypt)
11. Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.
- We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date
- Significant changes will be announced in-app
- Changes will be posted in the App Store "What's New" section
- Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
