Welcome to Voice Notes to AI Text Memos ("Voice Notes", "we", "our", "us", or the "App"). This Privacy Policy is provided by Yuliia Kulakova ("Developer") and governs the use of the Voice Notes iOS application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

By using Voice Notes, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Voice Notes processes the following types of information locally on your device:

1.1 Information You Provide

• Voice Recordings: Temporary audio recordings that are immediately converted to text using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition Framework and then deleted from memory. Raw audio files are never persistently stored.
• Text Notes: The content of your notes created from voice recordings or manual text input.
• Photos: Images you choose to attach to your notes from your photo library.
• Links: URLs you add to your notes.
• Note Metadata: Categories, tags, creation dates, recording duration, scheduled reminders, and other organizational data.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Weekly recording count for free tier limitations (stored locally only).
• Device Information: iOS version for compatibility checks (processed locally, never transmitted).
• Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data through Apple's crash reporting system (only if enabled in your device settings).

1.3 Purchase Information

• Subscription Status: Whether you have an active Premium subscription.
• Transaction Data: Handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We only receive subscription status confirmation.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used locally on your device to:

• Convert voice recordings to text using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition Framework
• Store and organize your notes locally using Core Data
• Compress and store photos within the app's secure sandbox
• Sync your notes across your devices via iCloud (if you enable this feature)
• Schedule local notifications for reminders
• Track weekly recording count for free tier limitations (2 recordings per week)
• Provide app functionality and features
• Export notes as PDF or text files when requested

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

• All data is stored locally on your device in the app's secure sandbox environment
• Data is protected by iOS security features including encryption at rest
• Face ID/Touch ID can be used for additional app access security (if you choose to enable it)
• Voice recordings exist only temporarily in memory during speech-to-text conversion and are immediately discarded after processing
• No data leaves your device except through iCloud sync (if enabled by you) or when you explicitly export notes

3.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

• Uses Apple's CloudKit with end-to-end encryption
• Syncs only between devices logged into your Apple ID
• You control iCloud sync and can disable it at any time in iOS Settings
• Data stored in iCloud is encrypted and accessible only to you
• We cannot access your iCloud data

3.3 Data Backup

• Your notes are included in standard iOS device backups (local or iCloud backups)
• Backup encryption depends on your iOS backup settings
• You control backup settings through iOS Settings

4. Third-Party Services

Voice Notes uses only Apple's built-in iOS frameworks and services. We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising services, or external APIs.

Apple Services Used:

• Speech Recognition Framework: On-device processing to convert voice to text. Audio is processed locally and never sent to external servers.
• StoreKit 2: For processing Premium subscriptions through the App Store. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy.
• CloudKit/iCloud: Optional synchronization between your devices. Data is encrypted end-to-end and accessible only to you.
• PhotosUI: To access photos from your photo library only when you explicitly choose to add them to notes.
• UserNotifications: For local reminder notifications (no push notifications from servers).
• Core Data: For local data storage and management.

Each of these services is governed by Apple's privacy policy and terms of service.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties. Your data may be accessed only in the following circumstances:

• With Your Explicit Consent: When you choose to export notes as PDF or text files and share them through iOS sharing options.
• iCloud Sync: Between your own devices when you enable iCloud sync in settings.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government regulation. However, we have no access to your locally stored data and can only provide information we possess (which is minimal).

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for marketing purposes
• Provide your data to analytics services

6. Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data. Your rights include:

Access and Management:

• Access: View all your notes within the app at any time
• Edit: Modify any note content, title, or metadata whenever you wish
• Delete: Delete individual notes or all data by deleting the app
• Export: Export your notes as PDF or text files

Privacy Controls:

• Microphone Access: Revoke microphone permissions in iOS Settings → Voice Notes
• Speech Recognition: Disable speech recognition in iOS Settings → Privacy → Speech Recognition
• Photo Library Access: Revoke photo library permissions in iOS Settings → Voice Notes
• iCloud Sync: Turn off iCloud sync for the app in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
• Notifications: Control reminder notifications in iOS Settings → Voice Notes → Notifications

Data Portability:

• Export all notes individually or in bulk
• Choose export format (PDF or plain text)
• Share exported files to any service you choose

7. Data Retention

• Notes and Content: Stored indefinitely on your device until you delete them
• Voice Recordings: Temporarily processed in memory only, never stored persistently
• Deleted Notes: Immediately removed from device storage; may persist in device backups until overwritten
• App Deletion: All local data is immediately removed when you delete the app from your device
• iCloud Data: If iCloud sync was enabled, data may persist in iCloud until you delete it or disable iCloud for the app. Apple's iCloud retention policies apply.
• Subscription Data: Subscription status is maintained by Apple and follows Apple's retention policies

8. Children's Privacy

Voice Notes is not specifically directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not include content specifically designed for children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided information through the app, please contact us immediately at the email address provided below, and we will assist you in understanding what data (if any) may be stored locally on the device.

For users in the European Economic Area: We do not process data of children under 16 without parental consent where required by GDPR.

9. International Data Transfers

Voice Notes stores all data locally on your device. No international data transfers occur through our app or servers (as we have no servers).

If you enable iCloud sync, data transfers are handled by Apple according to their privacy policy and may involve international transfers to Apple's data centers. Apple provides appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or app features. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Providing a notice within the app for significant changes
• Posting update notes in the App Store "What's New" section for app updates

• Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information (delete the app or individual notes)

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you have complete control over your information at all times.
