Email supportYes. Everything stays on your iPhone and, only if you turn sync on, in your own private iCloud. There is no Nanela account, no Nanela server, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Pregnancy and baby records are health data — a special category under the GDPR and consumer health data under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. Asking first is what those laws require, and it is also simply right. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings without losing what you have already written.
Sync is off by default. If you turn it on, your records are mirrored to Apple's private CloudKit database inside your Apple Account, so they appear on your other devices. We have no access to it and cannot read, export or recover it. Turn it off and your records stay on that device only.
Ways of counting weeks differ between countries and clinics — some name the week you are in, some count the weeks you have completed. Open Settings → how weeks are counted and pick the one your own clinician uses. Nanela will then show the same number they do.
Because that answer depends on your pregnancy and on the guidance where you live, and the same number means different things in different countries. Nanela keeps what you noticed and stays quiet about what it means. If anything worries you, contact your midwife, your doctor or your maternity unit — at any hour, and however many times.
Setting up your pregnancy, every week-by-week page, the Home Screen widget — and timing contractions.
Saving your own records: movements, weight, blood pressure, how you feel, medicines, appointments and notes — plus the whole baby section (feeds, sleep, nappies, growth, first foods) and the page you take to an appointment. Monthly or yearly.
Open Nanela → Settings → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the purchase.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nanela. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Nanela and allow notifications. Also make sure a Focus mode or Low Power Mode isn't holding them back, and that the reminder is switched on for that appointment. Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device — please don't rely on Nanela as your only reminder for something that matters.
Open the page for your appointment, choose whether it is for a check-up or for the maternity unit, pick the period, and share, print or simply show it. Every entry is listed as you made it — nothing is averaged and nothing is worked out by Nanela.
Nothing happens on its own, and Nanela does not ask you for details it has no business asking. In Settings you choose what to do with what you wrote — keep it, or erase it. Nobody is going to congratulate you or set anything up for you.
Settings has a single step that erases everything. If sync is on, that removes the copy from your iCloud too. Deleting the app removes what is stored on the device — but anything already in your iCloud stays there, so erase from Settings first if you want it all gone.
No. Nanela is not a medical device. It records what you tell it and quotes official guidance with a source. It does not diagnose, gives no verdicts, and never replaces your midwife or doctor.
