These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PawNook iOS application ("PawNook", "the App") developed by Yuliia Kulakova ("the Developer"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
PawNook is not a medical device and does not provide veterinary advice.
PawNook is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition in animals, and it is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Insights, summaries and charts in the App are generated from the information you enter and are informational only — they are not a clinical assessment.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian regarding your pet's health. In an emergency, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal clinic immediately — do not rely on the App.
The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PawNook on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms, the App Store Terms of Service and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense or redistribute the App or any part of it, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
PawNook is free to download and includes a generous free tier. The free plan includes one pet profile, weight tracking with charts, vaccinations, medications and parasite treatments, veterinary visits, care reminders, the daily diary, Home Screen widgets, private iCloud sync, and a combined allowance of three items across document scans and gallery photos.
PawNook Plus is an optional paid upgrade that removes the free limits and unlocks additional features, including unlimited pet profiles, unlimited photos and document scans, the PDF report for your veterinarian, health insights and summaries, and all app themes.
PawNook Plus is offered as an auto-renewing subscription with the following options:
The exact price for your country and currency is displayed in the App Store and inside the App before you confirm any purchase. Prices may differ by region and may change; any change will apply only to future billing periods and you will be informed as required by Apple.
PawNook Plus is also available as a one-time, non-consumable "Lifetime" purchase. It unlocks the same PawNook Plus features permanently for the Apple Account used for the purchase, without recurring billing. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the App and its reasonable commercial availability; it does not create an obligation for the Developer to distribute or maintain the App indefinitely.

All purchases are processed by Apple. The Developer does not receive or store your payment details.
Purchases and subscriptions are sold by Apple, and refunds are handled exclusively by Apple according to its policies. The Developer cannot issue refunds. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Statutory withdrawal or refund rights available to you under your local law are not affected.
You agree to use PawNook only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes relating to the care of animals for which you are responsible. You agree not to attempt to circumvent purchase mechanisms, interfere with the App's operation, or use it in a way that infringes the rights of others.
PawNook displays and organises the information you enter. Automatic features — including document text recognition (OCR), suggested fields, age estimates, weight trends, insights and summaries — may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting all records, particularly before relying on them or sharing them with a veterinarian. Reminder delivery depends on iOS notification settings and device state and cannot be guaranteed.
Your data is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud. The Developer has no access to your data and therefore cannot recover it. You are responsible for maintaining backups — for example by keeping iCloud enabled and backing up your device. Deleting the App, resetting your device, or disabling iCloud may result in permanent loss of your records. See the Privacy Policy for details.
PawNook, its name, logo, design, artwork and source code are the property of the Developer and are protected by copyright and other laws. The content you create — your pets' records, photos and notes — remains entirely yours.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered on time. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App — including any decision made or delayed regarding an animal's care. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. You may terminate them at any time by deleting the App. The Developer may suspend or terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 9–13) will survive.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published at this address with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the Developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
