This Privacy Policy describes how the SnapCost iOS application ("SnapCost", "the App", "we") developed by Yuliia Kulakova ("the Developer") handles your information. SnapCost was designed around a simple principle: your financial data is yours. The App works without accounts, collects no personal data, contains no advertising and no third-party trackers.

Expenses, amounts, notes, categories, budgets, wallets, recurring payments and settings that you create in the App. This data is stored locally on your device and — if iCloud is enabled on your device — in your personal, private iCloud database. The Developer has no access to it and never receives it.
Photos of receipts are analyzed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and Apple Intelligence. Photos are never uploaded to any server, are not shared with the Developer or any third party, and are not stored by SnapCost after recognition completes.
The App requests camera access only to photograph receipts, and photo library access only when you choose to import an existing photo. Both are used solely for on-device receipt recognition and only after you grant permission in iOS.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). The Developer never receives or stores your name, payment details or billing address. Apple's own privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Your data is used exclusively to provide the App's features on your device: displaying totals and statistics, calculating budgets, generating reports, syncing across your own devices via iCloud, and powering on-device AI insights. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling or resale — the Developer simply never has your data.
All data is stored in the App's protected container on your device and is covered by iOS device encryption.
If iCloud is enabled, your data syncs through your private CloudKit database, tied to your Apple Account and protected by Apple's encryption in transit and at rest. Only your signed-in devices can read it.
Your data may be included in device backups you control (iCloud Backup or local backups). You can also export your data to CSV at any time.
SnapCost uses the following services:
SnapCost contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs and no social media SDKs.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with anyone — because we never possess it. Data you explicitly export (CSV files, PDF reports) or share using the iOS share sheet is under your control from that moment.
Your data is retained on your device and in your iCloud only until you delete it. The Developer stores nothing and therefore retains nothing.
SnapCost is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly process their data. Since the App collects no personal data, no child data can reach the Developer.
Because SnapCost does not collect or process personal data on the Developer's side, there is no personal data for the Developer to disclose, sell or delete under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar laws. Your rights of access, portability, rectification and erasure are fully satisfied by the in-app controls described in Section 6. If you believe you have a privacy concern, contact us — see Section 11.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
